How hard it is to escape from places. However carefully one goes they hold you - you leave little bits of yourself fluttering on the fences - like rags and shreds of your very life.

7th Annual Singspiration
The village was bubbling every household spilling over with guests. Kids from all around this region and beyond were busy meeting and greeting old friends and making new friends. I did catch the majority of the events but I did go the church this morning and got a beautiful snapshot as the pews were filled and the message was pressing. "Watch and Pray" Pastor Larry reminded us.
Ali, Riley, Ani, Tak and I made the spring's first jog out to the Arolik River and 8 mile round trip, yesterday. We started out hoofing along in the the sunshine, ran through several downpours that we watched creep toward us across the vast tundra...I'm thinking whoever deemed Montana "Big Sky Country" had never set foot in the tundra of Quinhagak, Alaska. Thankfully we ended with the sunshine returning and warming our chilled bodies. It felt so good to get out.
Walking on Sunshine
Took a walk to the beach today with Terri and Emma. Across the tundra we ooooowed and ahhhhed at the green plants already breaking through the permafrost sprouting toward warmth, splashed through puddles and finally played only the quickly disappearing ice formations at the beach. Little girls and puppies alike had a great time. Dogs are fast asleep now, I can only suspect the girls are in the same form. I would be but I won't sleep tonight if I do;)
Kevin our fabulous speech path rode into village last weekend and spiced up the place. He had the kids on survival excursions, cooking desserts, playing games and then made spaghetti for the bible camp kids during Singspiration and for us hosted at Tim's house. Yum. Thanks Kevin. It was a good weekend. Hope yours was too.
Shout Out To:
Adrienne and Lonny Happy Birthdays this weekend!
I've told you this ahead of time, before it happens, so that when it does happen, the confirmation will deepen your belief in me. I'll not be talking with you much more like this because the chief of this godless world is about to attack. But don't worry—he has nothing on me, no claim on me. But so the world might know how thoroughly I love the Father, I am carrying out my Father's instructions right down to the last detail. "Get up. Let's go. It's time to leave here."
John 14:29
