Puddle Jumping

"New York is a state of mind."
- Joel's postcard to Maggie

Grace gave me in a bag of greens she picked so we cooked them up tonight. Delicious! I am going to try to figure out how to get some of the home.

Today was the last real day of 'classes'. Throughout the school kids had a variety of activities going on such as these relays! The bubble blowing contest, the oreo cookie licking contest, and the chocolate frosted cookie contest.

In our class Tyrone got to talk with my friend Sara back in Wisconsin while we were having snack. Obviously he's filling her in on the latest in Quin. The guys posed for a class photo! Clowning around.

So here's the deal
we walked down to the Bering this evening around 10 pm. Gorgeous sunset. On our way back as Ani was running around like a crazy dog he made an attempt to jump over what appeared to be a puddle. He didn't quite make it. As he was sailing through the air, to his and our surprise he plummeted, "Ker splosh!" mid-puddle in over his head! Hilarious. He got a shower when we got home.
Tomorrow is graduation and prom all the pretty dresses are preparing to be worn. The gym has been under great decorative construction for the last few days. Nice work girls and guys. Can not believe the year is ending!!! This time next week God willing we will be on the road home. A peek into Ani' s recent ongoing kennel training.

"There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!" Romans 5:35

  1. Have a safe trip home and hope Ani can last in his kennel. I wanted to bring our puppy Chauncey to the Falls this summer, but after May 15th, dogs can't be checked as luggage on Delta. :( He would have to ride as cargo and that's almost $400 each way! BOO.
